Meet the Cincinnati District Director

I am Jeri Timon a member of Western Hills Garden Club.  I am a 14 year member, past president, vice-president and recording secretary.  I am also an accredited flower show judge and a member of the Judges Study Group in Cincinnati.

It was my Dad and his beautiful roses, as well as his garden full of lush vegetables, which first showed me love of gardening…….it was my Grandfather who taught me to love the earth and take care with how I used its benefits.  It was my friend Mary Ann who said, ‘Come join my garden club’…….and so it goes.

My husband and I have lived all of our lives in a western pocket of Cincinnati, Delhi Hills.  Our children are rearing their families in this area, re-tracing many of the paths we all know and love.  But it was after I raised my family and retired from the business world, where I worked in Market Research at Procter & Gamble, that I became interested in gardening and then in floral design.

My love of artistic expression in floral design has really just begun.  I have learned so much and know there is so much more.  I have had the good fortune in meeting wonderful women and men, full of knowledge, along the way!

I look forward to my two year term as District Director.  I hope to meet, visit, and get to know many of the member clubs that make up Cincinnati’s GCO District.
